BLACK ROSES: A PLEASURE TO BLEED FOR
A visceral, hallucinatory noir born from the intersection of ritual and digital decay. Set across the shifting borders of Europe and Mexico, the novel explores a New World Disorder where financial sadism is the ultimate currency and predators seek self-deification through the flesh.
Following the aesthetic and philosophical trail of De Oculta Tecnologia, this new work is a journey into the “Trading Temple”: a secret elite lodge where the high-stakes of global finance meet the ancestral cruelty of the Left-Hand Path. It is a story of visceral poetry, clinical alienation, and the search for an ethical existence in a world of ceremonial cruelty.
The Aesthetic: Vogue Noir & Hard-Boiled Grit
The narrative straddles the line between the hard-boiled intensity of James Ellroy and the clinical alienation of Ottessa Moshfegh. Influenced by the 1970s avant-garde visions of Enki Bilal and Moebius, Black Roses reimagines the traditional thriller as a “Vogue Noir” nightmareâwhere the precision of a surgical blade meets the systemic rot of global lobbying.
The Profilerâs Visions: Patterns in the Void
At the center of the storm is Manuel GonzĂĄlez, an ex-Special Forces profiler haunted by anhedonia and a past he canât outrun. But Manuelâs true burden is a fractured intuitionâa rare ESP gift that blurs the line between clinical pattern recognition and genuine clairvoyance.
Forced into a “digital extinction” to survive, Manuel must navigate a world of gray-hat hackers and ritualized murders while his own mind betrays him. His journey is haunted by premonitory visions, visceral nightmares, and ghosts that refuse to stay buriedâa psychic dissonance where the “noise” of the system becomes a spectral reality.
The Dark Mirror
Tasked with silencing Manuel is Rita MacrĂ, a sociopathic surgeon who treats murder as high fashion. She doesn’t just hunt; she consume him. Their confrontation is a toxic, symbiotic obsession where the line between pleasure and pain disappears.
While Black Roses functions as high-octane entertainment, it is rooted in a critique of predatory systems and the ritualization of privilege, following a protagonist who must choose sobriety and clarity to survive a world of ceremonial cruelty.
The plot
Ex-Special Forces profiler Manuel GonzĂĄlezâhaunted by ghosts, booze, and anhedoniaâis yanked back into the game by ruthless Interpol agent Leanne Leyva. His mission: decrypt a ritually murdered traderâs drives and map the occult-digital underworld. Backed by a crew of gray-hat hackers, the profiler exposes the Trading Temple: a secret elite lodge where predators chase self-deification through blood rituals and financial greed.
The Huntersâa shadow network of vigilantes and ex-operativesâreveal that the System has marked Manuel for erasure. Forced to join their global attrition war to survive, he undergoes digital extinction and identity scrubbed.
Reborn as a ghost, he must face the Templeâs most elegant weapon: Rita MacrĂ, a seductive sociopathic surgeon who tailors murder like haute couture. Tasked with silencing Manuel, she becomes his dark mirror, igniting an obsessive, self-destructive romance where incision and embrace blur into one.
The investigation plunges into the abyss, culminating in a scene of Artaudian cruelty where Manuel finds himself strapped to Rita’s surgical table. It seems the end has come, but…
Set across Spain, France, Romania, and Mexico, Black Roses is a raw portrait of the New World Disorder where domination, ritual, and financial sadism are the only currencies.
