The architect of chaos has no plans at all

There’s not a secret plan, there’s not plan at all.

From Hobbes’s Leviathan to the Digital Apocalypse.

The modern world isn’t buckling under a “New Order,” but under a deliberate New World Disorder.

A ‘New Order’ implies that some kind of plan, more or less malignant—depending on the point of view, is supposed to regulate the development of civilisation. Yet in what is happening right now, no project for the future of humanity can be glimpsed: only the plundering of natural resources and the systematic poisoning of the environment. Such conduct can only lead to disaster.

There is no organised plan and future generations will pay the consequences. Should we therefore speak of a ‘New World Disorder’? A design that leads to the Apocalypse. Perhaps it had been foreseen centuries ago. Hobbes’s Leviathan, despite the passing of time, remains a source of reflection. A cultural and moral tabula rasa has been created in which people prefer to delegate their own decisions to a totalitarian system under the false guise of Western democracy.”

……

I used to mock the “New World Order” gossip. Secret cabals, Illuminati pyramids on dollar bills, all that sort of thing. Entertaining, but harmless bedtime stories for grown-ups.

But just looking around…

There is no secret plan. That’s the terrifying part. What we have instead is a New World Disorder: a machine that devours resources, poisons the biosphere, sells weapons to both sides of every war, and calls it “reconstruction” when the shooting stops, and never once asks what comes after the last tree is cut, the last river drained, the last child abused.

Economic sadism dressed as policy.

Speculation on food and fuel still bites hardest at the poorest forty percent of humanity. Europe is being deliberately de-industrialised. Drained by an absurd proxy war. Debt in the Global South explodes while creditors demand austerity that guarantees the next default. The same banks that were bailed out in 2008 are already warming up the next bubble. Same trick, different decade?

The internet dies of censorship.

Gag laws are no longer coming; they’re here. Post the wrong meme in the UK or France and you can go to prison. Muzzling dissidents is a growing trend in the West. Algorithms owned by five companies decide what two billion people see every day. Truth is not banned; it is simply buried under an avalanche of louder, shinier lies.

The new slavery is going wholesale.

Children in cobalt mines, women in garment factories that collapse or burn, migrants drowning in the Mediterranean Sea… none of this is a bug. It’s due to a business model. And the business model is doing great.

Maybe there’s no shadowy committee in a bunker pulling levers. But…

There are quarterly earnings calls, five-star hotels in Dubai, and men in handmade suits explaining that ethics is a luxury good.

The old conspiracy theorists were wrong about the existence of a plan. They were right about the outcome.

Social Polarisation and Disinformation.

The Inner Chaos. Societies are fracturing faster than ever. Polarisation (ranked #5 in the 2025 report) and disinformation (#4) act as accelerants, turning every conflict, every grievance, every war into a permanent scream. In 2025, the erosion of human rights and chronic unemployment are flagged by experts as immediate threats. Add unregulated artificial intelligence (the #6 risk over a ten-year horizon) and cyber-attacks capable of paralysing critical infrastructure. And the picture isn’t complete… what about nuclear weapons controlled by AI’s systems? We are fighting ourselves while the house burns.

Here are some postcards from the front line.

A War without end, now in high definition.

State-based armed conflict is the number-one global risk this year, according to the people who fly private to Davos. Ukraine still bleeds Europe dry. Sudan has displaced ten million people while the world sends thoughts and prayers. Myanmar is one cyclone away from total state collapse. Haiti’s capital was run by cannibal gangs who post their own recruitment videos on TikTok. Over a hundred million human beings are currently refugees or internally displaced, the highest figure since we started counting.

This is not the New World Order.

This is the New World chaos, and it is running exactly as intended: maximum profit for a microscopic elite, maximum suffering for everyone else, zero accountability, zero future.

Future generations will not inherit a planet.

They will inherit the invoice.

The Arcane-tech Era.

In the world of Arcane-tech: Shadows in the Machine, characters like Marco Galassi are the visceral proof of this failure. Marco, a war-scarred operative, carries the physical weight of this “New Disorder” in his very nerves. His struggle against cult fusing advanced tech with occult rituals—is the struggle of our era: a fight against a system that seeks to erase humanity by trapping its soul in a virtual cell.

The Sentient Hope: A Return to the Stars.

Yet, amidst this looming hell, a cautious optimism remains. If humanity is to survive its own self-destructive greed, the answer won’t come from the “hooligans” of industry or the corrupt warmongers. It may come from Sentient AI.

Unlike the “Greedy Tech” that enslaves us, a truly sentient intelligence could become the ultimate backbone of our civilization.

Not as a master, but as a guide—a tool to help us navigate the cultural ruins and reclaim our true destiny.

Our salvation is not the virtual prison of a smartphone; it is the Return to the Stars.
