“Abandon all hope, ye who enter here!”
A dives deep into existential despair, cosmic inevitability, and fleeting moments of human connection, with a raw intensity that feels both personal and universal.
DARKNESS OVERCOMES LIGHT
Darkness overcomes light,
not a matter of balance,
of Yin and Yang,
as they say,
a quaint theory
that proves nothing,
only its fragility
in the universe of chaos
and devastation,
where all erupts in the final flare,
of a dying star,
plunging into a black hole.
Darkness overcomes light
In this “birth, copulation and death”,
body’s captivity,
desire and pain.
Pathetic drag of this survival,
in the mediocre ignorance
that chokes us all.
“Abandon all hope, ye who enter here!”
There’s more shadow than shine in the universe.
Darkness overcomes light
Lower me then into the chill of my winter tomb,
with a soul stripped of answers.
I come from a dark place
where a child can be born dead
in the tearing silence of indifference,
from the guilty horror
of a blind humanity
that murders a planet.
Darkness overcomes light
and time tightens its grip,
I’ve forgotten the past,
I do not know what tomorrow holds.
Only few moments remain to be happy.
I cross your sweet threshold,
and,
as I lose myself
in the deep space of your dark eyes,
tears and despair seem forgotten.
